Named after David Bibb Graves, Alabama’s 38th governor, the bridge carries both historical and cultural significance for the region. It’s also gained national attention over the years; several scenes from the film Big Fish were filmed on the bridge, introducing this iconic structure to audiences far beyond Alabama.
