Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo 2025

92 Years Strong

The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo, founded in 1929, was the first competitive fishing event in America to be called a rodeo, and it’s been reeling in fun for an incredible 92 years! The very first event was an instant hit, drawing 260 enthusiastic sport fishermen and sparking the creation of an annual tradition that’s stood the test of time, now drawing in over 75,000 spectators per year. In those early days, even carrier pigeons were used to deliver news of the daily catch back to town, a fun reminder that no matter the year, the heart of the rodeo has always stayed the same: great fishing, great people, and a shared love for life on the water.

The Cover Makes It

Each year, the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo unveils a fresh, eye-catching cover illustration, and it’s always a standout. These designs are packed with personality and local flavor, often featuring real boats, familiar faces, and even people’s beloved pets, all cleverly woven into the artwork. Fans know to grab the limited-edition poster while they’re at the event; once they’re gone, they’re gone!
