We've been printing magazines since 1998

"Publications" is the first word in our name for a reason.
Publications Plus started in Montgomery in 1998. Magazines, programs, catalogs, and other print products have been coming off our presses ever since.

Nearly three decades later we're still in the same city, still building on the relationships that got us here, and still running every step of your issue in-house, from prepress to the mail room.

Meet the people behind the press

From press to mailbox under one roof

Your issue is checked in prepress, printed on our press, and stitched or perfect-bound in our bindery. If needed, we can mail your issue to subscribers or ship all copies to you by freight.
Nothing leaves the building until it is headed to your readers.

  • Heat-set for efficient medium and long runs.
  • Saddle-stitch and perfect binding in-house.
  • A team that cares and knows your schedule.

Spot ink

One premixed ink, laid down solid.

CMYK build

Tiny dots of four inks that blend at reading distance.

Pantone® & spot color

Need an exact brand color? We can print Pantone (PMS) spot colors.

Common questions
  • C or U? The same PMS number looks different on coated and uncoated paper. Tell us your stock and we match to the right guide.

  • Running four-color only? We convert spot colors to their closest CMYK build. Bright oranges, vivid greens, and metallics are the ones that drift, and we'll flag them.

  • It looks different on my screen? No monitor shows a Pantone accurately, including this one. Judge color from a printed guide, not your display.

FAQ

It depends on your print run and page count. Most medium and long runs go on our heat-set web press, while shorter runs go sheet-fed, and small or on-demand runs go digital.
