How your job gets printed

Different jobs belong on different presses/printers. Part of our job is putting yours on the right one — you don't have to know which is which.

Magazines and catalogs at volume

Heat-set web printing is built for medium and long runs on coated or uncoated roll paper — the process behind glossy magazines, thick catalogs, and high-volume newsletters. It keeps per-piece cost down as the quantity climbs.

  • Magazines, catalogs, and programs.
  • Coated and uncoated roll stocks.
  • Efficient on medium to long runs.

Offset quality on premium stock

Sheet-fed offset handles the work that needs weight and precision — cover stocks, presentation folders, thick business cards, and pieces where color has to match a brand exactly.

  • Heavier and specialty paper stocks.
  • Tight color control for brand work.

Small quantities without the setup

Digital printing skips plates entirely, which makes short runs and quick reprints practical. It is also how we handle variable data — the same piece printed with a different name, address, or code on every copy.

  • Short runs and quick reprints.
  • Business cards and folders.
  • Variable data and personalization.
  • Fast turnaround on small quantities.

Big pieces, printed and cut here

Our wide-format department prints banners, yard signs, posters, window graphics, and rigid substrates — then cuts them to shape and finishes them with hems, grommets, or stakes so they are ready to install.

  • Banners, yard signs, and posters.
  • Coroplast, foam board, acrylic, and PVC.
  • Contour cutting and finishing in-house.

Finished, addressed, and out the door

Cutting, folding, scoring, stitching, and perfect binding happen in our bindery. If the job is mailing, our direct mail department addresses, sorts, and delivers it to the post office — including EDDM® routes.

  • Folding, stitching, and perfect binding.
  • Addressing, sorting, and postal drop.
  • EDDM® and targeted mailing lists.

The shop by the numbers

We have been printing for the same community long enough that a lot of what you see around town — the programs, the signs, the mailers — came off our presses.

Questions

Common printing questions

Business cards, flyers, brochures, letterhead, magazines, catalogs, booklets, programs, banners, yard signs, wide-format displays, direct mail and EDDM®, and promotional products like shirts, hats, and hand fans. If you are not sure whether we print something, ask — the answer is usually yes.

We are at 884 Lagoon Commercial Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36117. Pickup is available on every order, we deliver locally around the River Region, and we ship anywhere in the country.

It depends on the product. Digital printing makes small quantities practical, while offset and heat-set runs make more sense as the count goes up. Tell us the quantity you actually need and we will put it on the right press.

Most small-format jobs run in about 3-5 business days once artwork is approved. Bindery, mailing, and large runs add time, and we schedule those around your deadline. If you are up against a date, say so up front and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

A print-ready PDF at 300 DPI, in CMYK, with bleed is ideal. We also accept native Illustrator and InDesign files. Our print resources page walks through the requirements, and prepress checks every file before it runs.

Our graphic design department can build it from scratch or clean up what you already have. Plenty of our customers send a logo and an idea and let us handle the layout.

Common products can be configured and priced directly on our store, with the price updating as you change size, stock, and quantity. Anything custom goes through our quote request form or a phone call to 1.877.701.5087.

No. Montgomery is where our presses are, but we print and ship for customers across Alabama and around the country. Being local just means you can walk in, look at a proof, and pick the job up the day it is finished.
